Ayant pratiqué la montagne pendant de nombreuses années, et parcouru de très nombreux sentiers notamment dans le Val d’Anniviers, j’ai été souvent surpris de ne pouvoir tenir les horaires indiqués sur les panneaux. Suis-je à ce point en méforme ou y a t’il un problème avec les horaires affichés ? Question posée à un guide de la région. Il s’avère que les horaires en questions sont calculés par ordinateur.
Il semblerait donc que le programme de calcul, qui est inhumain par nature, donne la priorité à l’exploit plutôt qu’au plaisir.
Si vous voulez vous éviter des retours tardifs ou une fatigue excessive, ajoutez quelques 10-20% aux horaires indiqués (surtout avec des enfants)

So it would seem that the calculation programme, which is inhuman by nature, prioritises achievement over pleasure.
If you want to avoid late returns or excessive fatigue,
add 10-20% to the times indicated (especially with children)
